Branches station is
home to red deer, chamois, goat and trout, while
Merino sheep and Hereford cattle compete for survival on
this property. Merino’s are bred for their fine wool
that is sold for apparel. 4,500 sheep
are run on the property consisting of ewes, rams, wethers,
two-tooths and hoggets. Shearing takes place in November for
the wethers, two-tooths and hoggets with ewe and ram
shearing in January. |
